There are no global or regional self-regulatory privacy schemes applicable to our Website. In order to demonstrate that our privacy policy complies with the privacy instruments developed by OECD, we are voluntarily committed to a self-assessment procedure subject to Independent Data Protection Authority supervision.


Currently, this Website does not enable our visitors to communicate with other visitors but allows submission of information to be accessed by the EFIC Research Committee and Grünenthal GmbH. Our Website may include links to third parties. Such third party Web service providers may collect personal data about their visitors.


We automatically log personal data by such means as programming and may link information automatically logged by such means with personal data about specific individuals. We do so for the purposes of technical administration of the Website and customer administration.

It will not be transferred to third parties without your prior explicit consent. At any time, upon your request, Grünenthal will delete or modify personal information that you provided earlier.


At the time of writing, we do not give visitors to our Website the option of using a secure transmission method to send us their personal data. However, we have implemented security policies, rules and technical measures to protect the personal data that we have under our control from: unauthorised access, improper use of disclosure, unauthorised modification or unlawful destruction or accidental loss.


The Members of the EFIC Sub-Committee on Research, all employees and data processors of EFIC and Grünenthal GmbH, who have access to and are associated with the processing of personal data, are obliged to respect the confidentiality of our visitors personal data. We ensure that our personal data will not be disclosed to state institutions and authorities except if required by law or other regulation.
